Trivana News – Painting Stone Aged 14 Thousand Years Found in Spain, Rock painting about 14 thousand years old, recently discovered in a cave in the Spanish seaside resort town. Local senior Andoni Iturbe confirmed the findings were told the news agency AFP on Thursday (13/10).
According to the findings of Iturbe approximately 50 paintings measuring up to 150 centimeters and depict horses, bison, and lions. Dozens of paintings were discovered in a cave that is very difficult to reach and is located under the building in the heart of Lekeitio, Basque Country.

Experts and archaeologists have researched the cave paintings found in May and called it a painting of “the most spectacular and outstanding” ever found in the Iberian Peninsula.
The cave was not to be opened to the public in order to preserve the painting, and because the location is difficult to reach.
Experts will hold an extraordinary congress later this month to discuss the findings.
Altamira Cave in Cantabria, Spain, also have paintings of bison from prehistoric times and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
